Why do you choose to help sell candy bars for Holy Childhood? MANY businesses, family & friends!  What's your favorite Gertrude Hawk candy bar flavor? Dark Chocolate coconut cream  Does your child help sell with you? She comes with me often to drop off, refill & pick up money, but her understanding of  what the sale supports is minimal. The sale is just too obscure for her. BUT she is so  happy at Holy Childhood, I do it as a way of showing gratitude for her being there!   Are there any businesses that sell for you that you would like us to feature in the blog?  Pizza D's is a small business in Mendon that sells a lot of candy for me. ALL the places  that sell for me are the best! Stokes, Visca Accounting, Vesa's Automotive, Mendon Pharmacy,  Mendon Liquor, Child Care Council, Pontillo's Basin, Raven Hair Salon, Madigan's Liquor,  Scott Miller, Country Club Liquor, Wards, MCC....Then there is the friends & family!  They ALL get how much this means to Teale & our family! We need HC and everyone we know  understands how important HC is to Teale. They see her blossoming and the  growth she has gone through while at HC. Without HC our Teale would be lost, truly!               Have you tried the online candy ordering system? How do you like it? Yes, I get some sale's, but not like in person...

Featured Flavors of the Week!

The end of January is upon us already! January saw the delivery of over 75,000 Gertrude Hawk Candy Bars to Holy Childhood!  WOW!  This week we are featuring the Dark Chocolate Varieties we offer.

Pictured are the Dark Chocolate varieties Coconut Custard, Raspberry, Plain, and Mint 

Dark Chocolate Mint is unique in the fact that it is only available by specific request by calling 359-3710 ext. 169 or by emailing Kate Balconi.

Dark Chocolate Raspberry, Plain Dark Chocolate, and Dark Chocolate Coconut Custard are all available in the Assorted Box of Candy Bars or by special order if you just want those specific flavors.

Candy Bars may be ordered at anytime by calling 359-3710 ext. 169 or you may visit one of our many Candy Partners to purchase an individual bar.

Candy Timeline Reminder

March 7th: Candy Bar Money and Spring Candy Orders due to Holy Childhood Development Office

March 29th: Spring Candy is delivered to Agency.  Families may begin picking up on this date.

****Customers purchasing Candy through the online system and selecting to ship directly to their home address will receive their candy within 5-7 days of their date of purchase.****

Spring Candy

The Candy Sale is off to a strong start with the candy bars selling at a terrific pace! We are concurrently running the Easter/Spring Candy Sale both by catalog and online.  

We already have over $1,100 in online candy sales and hope to beat last year's amount of $3,000.  If you haven't already signed up to sell candy online, you can learn how to here: Instructions for signing up to sell candy online. 

Benefits of selling through the online system:

•  Buyers can pay by credit card.
• Buyers can choose to have candy shipped directly to themselves for standard shipping fees.  The candy will arrive within 5-7 days of their purchase.
• Buyers can also choose to have their candy delivered with agency shipment for no extra cost and it will arrive at agency on March 29th, 2012.
• You can run your sale by e-mail, Facebook, Twitter and even post the link to your own personal Blog.
• You don't have to keep track of the order form/monies as it's all electronic!
• All candy sales count toward your seller grand total.

We are officially two weeks into the 2012 Candy Sale!


As of 1/19/12 we are happy to report we have just over 25,000 candy bars left to sell!

Due to overwhelming demand we have placed an additional order for Dark Chocolate Mint, Dark Chocolate, and Dark Chocolate Raspberry Bars.  Orders will be filled on a first come, first serve basis.

Get your candy bar orders in early!

Happy New Year!  Now that we have made it through the Holidays it's time for the Candy Sale to kickoff in high gear!  The Candy Bar delivery is expected this Thursday which means that orders will start to be filled on Thursday afternoon and on Friday.


Candy Packets are being sent home with students and adults this week.  However, no need to wait for the candy packet to order your candy bars. 


Here's how to order:


1.  Email me with the amount of carriers you would like (48 bars in a carrier).  Please include your child's name and Homeroom teacher in the e-mail so we make sure to credit the order appropriately.


2. Call us at 585.359.710 ext. 169 and place your order.


3. Fill out the Candy Bar Order Form that can be found in the Candy Packet.

It's almost Candy Time at Holy Childhood

Hello & Welcome,


On January 5th, approximately 73,000 Gertrude Hawk candy bars will be arriving at our agency in variety packs of 48 bars with flavors including past favorites such as Dark Chocolate Raspberry, Caramel, Peanut Butter and Krispy Bars and many more.


Available for special order this year will be the Dark Chocolate Mint, White Chocolate Truffle, and Dark Chocolate Raspberry.


Again this year, Holy Childhood families will each receive a Candy Selling packet with all of the instructions on how to sell candy bars and Spring Candy for Holy Childhood. 


After a tremendously successful online selling program last year, we will be making that option available to families again. The online program provides each family with their own direct web-link to our Spring Candy Catalog to email, Facebook, or tweet to their friends and relatives.  If you have not tried this option before, I greatly recommend it as it cuts down on the money and paperwork that sellers have to keep track of. This is also a great opportunity for out-of-towners to help support School of the Holy Childhood as Candy can be directly shipped anywhere in the United States.
