Twelve More Days...

As of today, we are just 12 short days away from the due date for all Easter Candy Orders! As you may know there are two ways to purchase Easter Candy to support Holy Childhood.

1. Online - This is the easiest way to order! Visit the Gertrude Hawk Website and search for Holy Childhood's Fundraising page. Our group code is: 119005. From that point, you can simply click on the name of your family or friend who is selling and make your purchase. If you are a Holy Childhood family that has not already set up a seller account see here: Instructions on how to sign up for online program.

2. Paper Catalog - With this option, you carefully fill out the order form which is found inside the catalog. Payment is accepted in cash or check form only. Checks should be made out to: School of the Holy Childhood.

Winter Break

The Children's Program Staff and Students are on break now and will return on Monday, February 27th. However, the Adult Program and administrative staff are all back starting Tuesday, February 21st.

Not only can you still get your hands on a delicious Special Touch Bakery pie by calling the main line at 359-3710, you may also place an order for more candy bars by calling Kate at 359-3710 ext. 169.

Candy Rally

To help get all of our students, adults, and staff members excited about the Candy Sale, we hold rallies from time to time. Here's a great video of Mrs. Boyle's Class keeping the crowd entertained today.

In addition to great entertainment, we found out at the rally that Mrs.Schnabel's class is in FIRST PLACE so far! Mrs. Parmiter's Class is in second, followed by Mrs. Dickinson's Class in third, and Mrs. Boyle's in fourth place!

Did you know?

The Candy Sale has generated over $2 Million Dollars in revenue throughout the years.
There are currently over 60,000 Gertrude Hawk Candy Bars distributed in Rochester from this year's event.
Over 130 Holy Childhood families, staff, and volunteers are helping to distribute and sell candy this year.
The Candy Sale actually helps to generate donations for our agency. This year alone over $1,300 has been donated to benefit Holy Childhood in lieu of the purchase of candy.

The end of January is upon us already! January saw the delivery of over 75,000 Gertrude Hawk Candy Bars to Holy Childhood! WOW! This week we are featuring the Dark Chocolate Varieties we offer.

Pictured are the Dark Chocolate varieties Coconut Custard, Raspberry, Plain, and Mint

Dark Chocolate Mint is unique in the fact that it is only available by specific request by calling 359-3710 ext. 169 or by emailing Kate Balconi.

Dark Chocolate Raspberry, Plain Dark Chocolate, and Dark Chocolate Coconut Custard are all available in the Assorted Box of Candy Bars or by special order if you just want those specific flavors.

Candy Bars may be ordered at anytime by calling 359-3710 ext. 169 or you may visit one of our many Candy Partners to purchase an individual bar.

March 7th: Candy Bar Money and Spring Candy Orders due to Holy Childhood Development Office

March 29th: Spring Candy is delivered to Agency. Families may begin picking up on this date.

****Customers purchasing Candy through the online system and selecting to ship directly to their home address will receive their candy within 5-7 days of their date of purchase.****

The Candy Sale is off to a strong start with the candy bars selling at a terrific pace! We are concurrently running the Easter/Spring Candy Sale both by catalog and online.

We already have over $1,100 in online candy sales and hope to beat last year's amount of $3,000. If you haven't already signed up to sell candy online, you can learn how to here: Instructions for signing up to sell candy online.

Benefits of selling through the online system:

Buyers can pay by credit card.
Buyers can choose to have candy shipped directly to themselves for standard shipping fees. The candy will arrive within 5-7 days of their purchase.
Buyers can also choose to have their candy delivered with agency shipment for no extra cost and it will arrive at agency on March 29th, 2012.
You can run your sale by e-mail, Facebook, Twitter and even post the link to your own personal Blog.
You don't have to keep track of the order form/monies as it's all electronic!
All candy sales count toward your seller grand total.

Life in the Candy Lane Moves Quickly...

Over 36,000 candy bars have already been distributed locally in just one week. There are approximately 34,000 left to sell!

Online Candy Program is LIVE!

All families signed up for the online selling program by Friday, January 13 at 9:00 AM will be entered in a drawing for a Gertrude Hawk Gift Basket filled will an assortment of chocolate goodies!

One of the easiest ways to get involved in the Holy Childhood Candy Sale is by signing up for the secure and easy to manage online selling program through the candy company, Gertrude Hawk Chocolates.

Here's how:

1. Visit : http://www.gertrudehawkchocolates.com/fund-raising/welcome

2. On the left hand side click: "Group Member Sign Up"

3. In the field that says Group No. enter: 119005 and follow the instructions from there.

Once you have set up your participant account you can invite all of your friends and family from all over the U.S. to purchase Spring Candy. This is a FANTASTIC option for out-of-town relatives or for those that prefer to pay with a credit card.

Don't hesitate to get in touch with me at 359-3710 ext. 169 if you have any questions about how to sign up.

Last year over $3,000 worth of Candy was sold online and I'm told we were the top selling organization last year of all that participated in online selling. Let's do it again!

Get your candy bar orders in early!

Happy New Year! Now that we have made it through the Holidays it's time for the Candy Sale to kickoff in high gear! The Candy Bar delivery is expected this Thursday which means that orders will start to be filled on Thursday afternoon and on Friday.

Candy Packets are being sent home with students and adults this week. However, no need to wait for the candy packet to order your candy bars.

Here's how to order:

1. Email me with the amount of carriers you would like (48 bars in a carrier). Please include your child's name and Homeroom teacher in the e-mail so we make sure to credit the order appropriately.

2. Call us at 585.359.710 ext. 169 and place your order.

3. Fill out the Candy Bar Order Form that can be found in the Candy Packet.

Holiday Closing

Did you know that local businesses are an integral part to making sure the Annual Candy Sale is a continued success? Over the years, many business owners have joined us as "Candy Partners" by selling cases of candy at their registers. These partnerships usually start with a Holy Childhood family asking the owner if they would be able to help. Sometimes, we don't even know all of the "outlets" for our candy! It's almost Candy Time at Holy Childhood

Hello & Welcome,

On January 5th, approximately 73,000 Gertrude Hawk candy bars will be arriving at our agency in variety packs of 48 bars with flavors including past favorites such as Dark Chocolate Raspberry, Caramel, Peanut Butter and Krispy Bars and many more.

Available for special order this year will be the Dark Chocolate Mint, White Chocolate Truffle, and Dark Chocolate Raspberry.

Again this year, Holy Childhood families will each receive a Candy Selling packet with all of the instructions on how to sell candy bars and Spring Candy for Holy Childhood.

After a tremendously successful online selling program last year, we will be making that option available to families again. The online program provides each family with their own direct web-link to our Spring Candy Catalog to email, Facebook, or tweet to their friends and relatives. If you have not tried this option before, I greatly recommend it as it cuts down on the money and paperwork that sellers have to keep track of. This is also a great opportunity for out-of-towners to help support School of the Holy Childhood as Candy can be directly shipped anywhere in the United States.

Be on the look out soon for more information regarding prizes, incentives, and other sale related updates! If you have any questions regarding the sale or would like to place a pre-order for candy bars, please feel free to send me an e-mail.
